Maurice Denham was a British actor, born in Beckenham (England, United Kingdom) on December 23, 1909, and died in Northwood (England, United Kingdom) on July 24, 2002. Maurice Denham appeared in films, mostly British (and American) and co-productions, from 1947 to 1996. One of his best-known films was The Crimson Flame (1954), which earned him a nomination for the British Academy Film Award for Best Actor the following year (1955). On television, he appeared in several live programs in 1938 and 1939. He then appeared regularly, between 1956 and 1997, in television films and series such as Eagles Fall (1974), in which he played Kaiser Wilhelm I of Germany. Maurice Denham, throughout his career, also played in the theatre (where he made his debut in 1934), particularly in London.
