Claire Burger, born October 13, 1978 in Forbach, is a French film director and screenwriter.
Her short film, "Forbach," won second prize at the Cinéfondation Prize at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival and the Grand Prize at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 2009. Her short film, "It's Free for Girls," co-directed by Marie Amachoukeli, won the César Award for Best Short Film in 2010.
Her first feature film, "Party Girl," co-directed with Marie Amachoukeli and Samuel Theis, won the Caméra d'Or at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. The film was also nominated for César Awards in the categories of Best First Film and Best Editing. His second feature film, C'est ça l'amour, won the Best Director award at the Giornate degli Autori at the 2018 Venice Film Festival. His third feature film, Langue étrangère, had its world premiere in the official competition at the 2024 Berlinale.
